Overview
Overview allows you to monitor the current status of Threat Prevention and the detected activities.
To monitor the system status:
- Go to Overview and find the current system status on the top panel. Here are the possible statuses:
- Building Signature Database: The system is building signature database into external storage, please wait until the system completes. It is susggested to use format ext4 of external storage for better I/O throughput.
- Starting Service: Please wait until the panel reads “System Well Protected.”
- System Well Protected: The system is guarding your network security and functioning properly.
- Starting Stopped: You have not yet enabled packet detection. Please click Restart or go to Settings to enable the function.
- Check the actions in the notifications. Notifications will appear when the following situations are detected:
- You do not have the latest version of ET open or ET pro. Click Update Now to update immediately.
- You have not set an update schedule for ET open or ET pro. Click Go to Settings to set a schedule.
- You have not yet enabled event notifications. Click Go to Settings to enable the function.
To track the malicious events within the past 7 days:
- Go to Overview and find the number of malicious packets of high, medium, or low severity on the middle panel.
- Slide across the time chart to check more detailed information. The data is updated every eight hours.
Note:
- The time interval is set at 00:00-08:00, 08:00-16:00, and 16:00-00:00.
To view devices that need concern:
- Go to Overview and find the devices that triggered high-severity events in the lower panel. Devices with more events are listed higher.
- Please take necessary actions to manage such devices.
