Settings

Configure system settings and set up Notification, Backup & Restore, as well as Log Storage to better suit your network environment.

To enable Threat Prevention:

  1. Go to Settings > General and tick Enable Threat Prevention to protect your system form attacks.
  2. Tick the check box to set Drop high-risk packets automatically as the default action.
  3. Click Apply to save changes.

Note:

To determine which interfaces to monitor:

  1. Go to Settings > General and find the status of each interface.
  2. Tick/untick checkboxes to determine which interfaces to monitor.
  3. Click Apply to save changes.

To monitor updates:

  1. Go to Settings > General and view the overall status of system updates.
  2. You can perform the following actions:
  3. Click Apply to save changes.

To enable device protection:

  1. Go to Settings > Device to check device status.
  2. Click the search icon on the right-hand corner, and enter device name or MAC address to search for devices.
  3. Tick/untick Skip filtering packets for new devices to determine whether to protect your devices by Threat Prevention. If you tick this checkbox, newly added devices to local network will not be protected by Threat Prevention. Please note that devices once protected by Threat Prevention will be displayed in the list below.
  4. Click Apply to save changes.

Note:

To enable event notification:

  1. Go to Settings > Notification and tick Enable event notification.
  2. Select the notification medium (E-mail, SMS, Push Service) and set the minimum time interval.
  3. Click Advanced to further determine how to receive notifications of each event, and click OK.
  4. Click Apply to save changes.

To back up or restore settings:

  1. Go to Settings > Backup & Restore.
  2. Click Backup to save the current settings to your computer.
  3. Click Restore and select a (.dss) file to restore settings.
  4. Click Apply to save changes.

To limit log storage:

  1. Go to Settings > Log Storage.
  2. Set the Maximum log usage (500MB, 1GB, 2G). Once the storage threshold is exceeded, the system will automatically rotate older log files.
  3. To erase all existing logs, click Clear Logs.
  4. Click Apply to save changes.
