Task

In the Task tab, you can add, edit, enable, disable, and delete Smart Time Lapse tasks.

The left section of the list displays the current number of different status categories while the right section shows all Smart Time Lapse tasks. Click on a task to view detailed information such as memory space occupied, limitations, storage, and recording range.

To add a scheduled Smart Time Lapse task:

  1. Click Add to create a new Smart Time Lapse task.
  2. Enter the name of the task in the Task Name field.
  3. Select a camera from the Camera drop-down menu.
  4. Select Schedule Execution from the Task type drop-down menu to execute the Smart Time Lapse task periodically. You can configure the execution time of the Smart Time Lapse task by selecting grids in Recording Schedule. Select an entire day by clicking on a day and a specific time by clicking on the hour.
  5. Select Next to continue.
  6. Under the Recording section, you can adjust the following settings: Truncate recording every (minutes), Time compression ratio (multiply by), Frame rate (FPS). The time lapse calculation displayed below is computed based on these settings.
  7. Under the Advanced section, you can choose to tick the Reduce the time compression ratio to display more video details when detecting events checkbox, and adjust the following settings:

  9. Under the Storage Settings section you can adjust the following settings:
  10. Under the Rotation Rules section, you can adjust the following settings:
  11. Select Finish to save the Smart Time Lapse task.

Note:

To add a one time execution Smart Time Lapse task:

  1. Click Add to create a new Smart Time Lapse task.
  2. Enter the name of the task in the Task Name field.
  3. Select a camera from the Camera drop-down menu.
  4. Select One Time Execution from the Task type drop-down menu. By selecting this option, the Smart Time Lapse task will only be executed once. You can specify a time range to execute the Smart Time Lapse task
  5. Configure the execution time of the Smart Time Lapse task by selecting grids in Specify Recording Time. Select an entire day by clicking on a day and a specific time by clicking on the hour.
  6. Select Next to continue.
  7. Under the Recording section, you can adjust the following settings: Truncate recording every (minutes), Time compression ratio (multiply by), Frame rate (FPS). The time lapse calculation displayed below is computed based on these settings.

  12. Select Finish to save the Smart Time Lapse task.

To edit a task:

  1. Select a task from the list and click Edit.
  2. Modify the configuration in General, Settings, and Storage tabs.
  3. Click Save to apply settings.

To enable or disable a task:

  1. Select a task from the list.
  2. Click Enable to enable selected task from the Enable drop-down menu or click Disable to disable the corresponding task.

To delete a task:

  1. Select a task from the list and click Delete.
  2. A confirmation prompt will appear. Select Remove all recorded files (including locked items) or Keep all recorded files. Click Ok to delete the task.
