Search for recording files through Recording

Overview

In Surveillance Station, you can not only view live videos but also record streams to your NAS or NVR. Recording allows you to browse, import, and mount video files, making video data management easy and effortless.

2. View recordings

  1. To view your saved recordings, either click on a thumbnail, select a video then click the Play button, or right-click and select Play to open Recording Player.

    You can also select multiple videos.
  2. If you cannot locate a video, try using the Search filter on the top-right corner.
  3. Your playlist will be shown on the right side of the Recording Player window. If you selected only one video to play, all clips will appear in the list.
  4. Besides watching your recordings on NAS, you can also click the Download button or right-click and select Download to save them to your PC or external SSDs.
  5. Use the Lock function to lock your recordings if you do not want the system to deleted them to make space for new recordings.

3. Export recordings

  1. Go to Export > Add to activate Recording Export Wizard.
  2. Assign your Source server, Destination server, and Destination. Click Next to continue.
  3. Select cameras to export recordings. Click Next to continue.
  4. Select a date and time to export. Click Finish to start exporting.
  5. Follow the progress of your export task back in the Export page.

4. Mount recordings

  1. Go to Mount > Add to activate Recording Mount Wizard.
  2. Find your Source, Shared folder, and tick the checkbox of your target Recording. Click OK to start mounting.
  3. See your mount Status back in the Mount page.
  4. Click Browse Recordings to view the videos you have mounted.
  5. You will find your selected recordings under Recording List.
