Live View Analytics
With Live View Analytics feature, you can track objects during video live view and recording. You can choose from several analytical types for your IP cameras, and track suspicious events intelligently to trigger smart recording on-the-fly. With simulation mode, you can fine-tune the sensitivity, detection zone, and object size for individual cameras to obtain the best results.
To set up live view analytics settings:
- Select an analytics type from the Analytics Type drop-down menu:
- None: If None is selected, the other settings on this page will all be disabled.
- Motion Detection: Search for movement in the specified areas.
- Missing Object: Search for missing objects in the specified areas.
- Foreign Object: Search for foreign objects in the specified areas.
- Camera Occlusion: Search for times when the camera lens is covered and unable to effectively perform surveillance.
- Focus Lost: Search for times when the camera focus is lost and unable to effectively perform surveillance.
- No-Idle Zone: Search for times when anyone or anything enters the restricted zone and lingers longer than the specified dwell time.
- Select a sensitivity level from Sensitivity. A higher sensitivity level will yield more search results but may also yield more false alarms.
- Select a size from Object Size. An object size of 1x represents one one-hundredth of the search zone size. Click and drag to resize and reposition the yellow rectangle to be smaller than the object you want to search for. This option is only available for Foreign Object.
- Select a time from Dwell time. This option is only available for No-Idle Zone.
- Under Detection Zone, use any of the following options to set up a detection zone for searching. These options are only available for Motion Detection, Missing Object, and Foreign Object.
- Click Add and then select cells on the grid to add cells to the detection zone.
- Click Delete and then select cells on the grid to delete cells from the detection zone.
- Click Select All to add all cells to the detection zone.
- Click Clear All to delete all cells from the detection zone.
- Enable the following visual assistance to better monitor the live view analytics process:
- Show detection frames: For each camera, detection frames will appear on the live view screen to indicate the location of the figure, object, or event.
- Show path tracking: Tracking paths will be shown to indicate the movements of people or objects.
- Show virtual zone: Enabling this option to display the virtual zone defined by the four detection positions on-screen will help you identify the object's activities around the restricted zone more easily.
- Simulation: Simulate the analytics to help fine-tune live view analytics settings.
- Click Save to save your changes.
