IP Speaker
Add, edit, enable, disable, and delete ip speakers in the IP Speaker tab. You can set up audio output, time synchronization, paired cameras, and other related settings.
Add Speakers
To add an ip speaker:
- Click Add. An Add Speaker Wizard window will appear.
- Enter a name to identify this device in the Name field.
- Enter the speaker's IP address or host name. You can also click the magnifying glass icon to search for speakers installed in the same domain. Once the speaker is selected, the system will automatically display the IP address, port number, and model of the speaker.
Note: IP address in IPv6 format is not supported.
- If your speaker is using a different port number, please enter this port number.
- Select the speaker's brand from the Brand drop-down menu.
- Select the speaker's model from the Model drop-down menu.
- Select the audio format you want from the Audio format drop-down menu. This audio format setting will be applied to the speaker.
- Enter Username and Password of the speaker's administrator account.
- Click Test Connection to play the default audio pattern to ensure that the speaker connection is normal.
- Click Next to continue configuring advanced settings.
- Adjust audio output gain or keep original speaker settings in Audio Output Setting.
- Set up a paired camera as the video source or change live view audio source in Paired Camera.
- Set up the network time server in Time Synchronization.
- Click Finish to complete the setup.
Note:
- The device name is case sensitive. 1 to 32 Unicode characters are allowed, excluding the following symbols:
! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + , / : ; < = > ? @ [ ] \ ^ ` { } | ~
- If the speaker has a paired camera set up, the corresponding camera videos will be displayed on live view or preview.
Edit Speakers
To edit speaker settings:
- Select the speaker you want to modify, then click Edit. You can also double-click on the speaker to change the settings.
- Click Save to save changes after finish editing.
Enable or Disable Speakers
New speakers must be enabled before executing related actions.
To enable or disable a speaker:
- Select the speaker you want to enable or disable, and select Enable or Disable from the Enable drop-down menu.
Delete Speakers
- Select the speaker you want to delete, then click Delete.
Note:
- After deleting the speaker, the speaker will be removed from the previously assigned group.
