Synology Office
Synology Office is a collaboration-oriented application for creating documents, spreadsheets and slides in the Synology Drive portal. You can edit data with various built-in tools and exchange ideas with collaborators via interactive comments and the Synology Chat plugin. For confidential content, you can also encrypt files with passwords for extra privacy.
Before You Start
Please note the following:
- Synology Office is compatible with DSM 6.2.2 or above.
- Supported browsers include Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Internet Explorer 10 or later.
- The following three packages must be installed from Package Center:
- Synology Drive Server
- Universal Search
- Synology Application Service
- Node.js v8
- PHP 7.2
- Python3
- You can also install Synology Chat to enjoy immediate communications when collaborating with others.
- Locale settings
To launch Synology Office, do either of the following:
- In DSM, go to Main Menu > Synology Office.
- Create Synology Office documents, spreadsheets, and slides by clicking the + button.
- Enjoy online collaboration in the editor for documents, spreadsheets and slides.
Note:
All files created using Synology Office will be saved in Synology Drive.
