Cluster shares are the basic directories where files and folders are managed and stored on cluster volumes. Before managing or sharing any files, you need to create at least one cluster share.
The cluster file sharing service is hosted by the computing servers. When a Synology NAS server is designated as a computing server, the system automatically modifies and unifies the namespace of the computing server. Local shared folders of each computing server are placed at the following location: \Non_Cluster_Shares\[ServerID]\. Please see the following example:

If there are two or more computing servers with identical names, the server's serial number is appended after the server name.
