DS audio allows you to access Audio Station with an Android® phone and listen to your favorite music on the go, or play music through USB/UPnP renderers.
When you launch DS audio for the first time, you will see the login screen, allowing you to log in to DS audio by manually entering the login information, or by having DS audio fill in the information automatically for you.
In the fields on the login screen, enter the IP address of your DiskStation and the username and password of a DSM user account which has access privilege to Audio Station, and then tap Login.
***On the login screen, tap the arrow button next to the IP field. Here you will see the following sections:
Tap any entry to return to the login screen where part of the login information is filled in automatically, enter the remaining information, and then tap Login.
After you log in to DS audio, if there are USB/UPnP devices found by Audio Station, you can select a player for music playback. The player could be your Android device, a media renderer within LAN found by Audio Station, USB speakers connected to your DiskStation, or an external speaker or home stereo equipment connected to the audio dock of Synology Remote (sold separately).
***Note: Only DSM users with the USB/UPnP Renderer privilege (at Settings > Privileges in Audio Station) can access USB/UPnP devices for music playback.
After logging in to DS audio, you will see the home page. Press the menu button, and then tap Logout and Yes to log out.
Note: If you have logged in to DS audio without logging out, it will save your login information and log in automatically when you launch DS audio next time.
On the home page, you will see the following icons representing different ways of categorizing or finding your music:
When you are browsing your list of albums, artists, genres, or playlists, you can press the menu button and do any of the following:
When you browse your music by album or artist, you can do any of the following to quickly find your music:
After finding the album, artist, genre, folder, or playlist you want, tap it to see the list of songs within it.
If you want to return to the home page, tap the home button (with a house icon) at the top-left corner.
After seeing the list of songs, you can add the songs to the playing queue for playback.
Tap a song to add it to the playing queue. If the playing queue is empty, it will play the song you just added immediately. Tap to add more songs to the queue.
Tap and hold a song until a shortcut menu appears on the screen and then do any of the following:

Now, depending on how you add your songs to the playing queue, you can tap the queue button (if DS audio is not playing music) or the player button (if DS audio is playing music now) at the top-right corner to go to the playing queue or the music player.
The playing queue displays the list of songs that will be played by the music player.
If DS audio is playing music now, you can see the blue icon on the right to know which song is played now. Tap to play any other song immediately.
If you want to go to the music player to control music playback, tap the player button at the top-left corner.
The music player displays the information of the song (song titles, artist names, album names, or album covers) that is currently played by DS audio. It also allows you to control music playback with a set of easy-to-use controls.
Tap the screen to display the complete controls, and then tap any of the following controls.
If you want to manage the songs in the playing queue, tap the queue button at the top-right corner.
