DS audio Help
DS audio allows you to access Audio Station with an Android® phone and listen to your favorite music on the go. Besides, the remote controller feature allows you to control Audio Station's music playback when there is a USB speaker attached to your DiskStation.
Login and Logout
When you launch DS audio for the first time, you will see the login screen, allowing you to log in to DS audio by manually entering the login information, or by having DS audio fill in the information automatically for you.
About Streaming Mode and Remote Mode
When you log in to DS audio, you can choose between the following login modes:

Remote mode: Tick Enter remote mode to remotely control music playback through the speakers connected to your DiskStation.

Streaming mode: Uncheck Enter remote mode to enter the default streaming mode, which allows you to stream music from your DiskStation to your Android phone directly.
To log in to DS audio by entering the login information:
You can log in with your DiskStation user account which has access privilege to Audio Station.
To have DS audio fill in the login information for you:
On the login screen, tap the arrow button next to the IP field. Here you will see the following sections:

The History section lists your login history.

The DiskStations in LAN section lists available DiskStations on the local area network with Audio Station enabled.
Tap any entry to return to the login screen where part of the login information is filled in automatically, enter the remaining information, and then tap Login.
To log out of DS audio:
After logging in to DS audio, you will see the home page. Press the menu button, and then tap Logout and Yes to log out.
Note: If you have logged in to DS audio without logging out, it will save your login information and log in automatically when you launch DS audio next time.
Browse Music
On the home page, you will see the following icons representing different ways of categorizing or finding your music:

Album: Browse music by the album information of the song.

Artist: Browse music by the artist information of the song.

Genre: Browse music by the genre information of the song.

Folder: Browse music by directory.
-
Playlist: Browse music by the playlists.
-
Search: Enter any keyword (song titles, artist names, or album names) in the search field to find the song you want.
When you are browsing your list of albums, artists, genres, or playlists, you can press the menu button and do any of the following:

Tap Refresh to refresh the list if you just uploaded new songs to Audio Station, and want to see them on the list immediately.

Tap Queue to go to the playing queue (available when there are songs in the queue).

Tap Player to go to the music player (available when DS audio is playing music now).
To quickly find your music by album or artist :
When you browse your music by album or artist and see a list of albums or artists sorted alphabetically, you can tap Collapse all at the top-right corner and do any of the following:

Tap a alphabet to find the album or artist name starting with that letter.

Tap "#" at the top of the list to find the album or artist name starting with a number.

Tap "." at the bottom of the list to find the album or artist name starting with any character other than number or alphabet.
After finding the album, artist, genre, folder, or playlist you want, tap it to see the list of songs within it.
If you want to return to the home page, tap the home button (with a house icon) at the top-left corner.
Add Songs to the Playing Queue
After seeing the list of songs, you can add the songs to the playing queue for playback.
To add a song to the playing queue:
Tap a song to add it to the playing queue. If the playing queue is empty, it will play the song you just added immediately. Tap to add more songs to the queue.
To add a song to the playing queue with the shortcut menu:
Tap and hold a song until a shortcut menu appears on the screen and then do any of the following:

Play: Play this song immediately by replacing all songs in your playing queue.

Add to queue: Add this song to the playing queue without replacing the current songs in the queue.

Add and play it: Append this song to the end of the playing queue and play it immediately.
To add the current list of songs to the playing queue:
Press the menu button and tap any the following:

Add all: Add all songs on the current list to the playing queue.

Play all: Play all songs on the current list immediately by replacing all songs in your playing queue.
Now, depending on how you add your songs to the playing queue, you can tap the queue button (if DS audio is not playing music) or the player button (if DS audio is playing music now) at the top-right corner to go to the playing queue or the music player.
Manage the Playing Queue
The playing queue displays the list of songs that will be played by the music player.
To play a song in the playing queue:
If DS audio is playing music now, you can see the blue icon on the right to know which song is played now. Tap to play any other song immediately.
To remove songs from the playing queue, do any of the following:

Tap Edit on the top-right corner and tick the checkboxes to the right of the songs to select songs you want to remove, and then tap Delete and Yes to remove the songs from the queue.

Tap Edit on the top-right corner and press the menu button. Tap Mark all or Unmark all to select all songs or cancel the current selection. Tap Delete and Yes to remove the selected songs from the playing queue.

Press the menu button and tap Remove all and Yes to remove all songs from the playing queue.
If you want to go to the music player to control music playback, tap the player button at the top-left corner.
Control Music Playback
The music player displays the information of the song (song titles, artist names, album names, or album covers) that is currently played by DS audio. It also allows you to control music playback with a set of easy-to-use controls.
To control music playback:
Tap the screen to display the complete controls, and then tap any of the following controls.

Play / Pause: Play or pause the song.

Stop: Stop the song.

Next or Previous: Play the next or previous song in the playing queue.

Progress bar: Tap anywhere in the progress bar or drag the playhead to skip to any point you like.

Shuffle (right) or Repeat (left) above the progress bar: Shuffle the songs in the playing queue or repeat the current song.

Volume above the progress bar (available only for remote mode): Adjust the volume of the USB speaker.
If you want to manage the songs in the playing queue, tap the queue button at the top-right corner.
Note:
-
The network bandwidth you use may affect the quality of the service. Playing music with a high-speed network connection is suggested.
- You can only drag the playhead of DS audio's music player on Android firmware version 1.5 and 2.2 or later.
Manage DS audio Settings
On the home page, press the menu button and tap Settings to enter the settings page, which allows you to configure the following settings:

If DS audio is in remote mode, you can switch it to the streaming mode on the fly, and vice versa.

If you would like to login with another account, you can tap Logout and Yes to log out of DS audio.
